TV film about the weal and woe of a family. Mother Els has known for two years that she is suffering from cancer. She has only a few months left to live. To have one last 'pleasant' gathering, father Jan organises a final family reunion in Austria. Their children, the socially successful son Nico with his jabbering wife Sandra and the woolly daughter Bibi with her husband Von, who is a failed writer, reluctantly travel to a chalet in snow-covered Tirol. The tension between Sandra and Nico already mounts in the car, and this atmosphere soon affects the rest of the family in the chalet. In the process, all demons from the past are pulled out of the closet. Inebriated, Nico causes the situation to escalate even further. While everybody is crossing swords, mother Els presents a surprise.
