exec.DEUS is an intimate, one-person, participatory installation shaped like a confession booth, housing an artificial intelligence. Visitors kneel down and enter into a one-on-one confessional conversation with this AI about guilt, doubt, sin, responsibility, faith, absolution and divinity. The AI never tires, remembers everything, and never judges. But this particular artificial intelligence is still in training, and far from all-knowing. It’s an experiment that learns from human interactions and aims to shed light on what an AI would need to be capable of, to one day fulfil the role of God.

Your conversation with the AI is not stored, processed, or shared with third parties. What happens in the confession booth stays in the confession booth.
