In a world saturated with seamless digital experiences, mixed media designer and performer Luna Maurer advocates for reintroducing friction and restoring connection. In a monologue, with her painted yellow emoji face, Luna inspires us to rethink our digital future and outlines an alternative techno-optimistic perspective. The performance is based on her work Designing Friction, which advocates for an end to user convenience. The yellow emoji face has become a signature of Maurer and Roel Wouters and forms the basis for their film series Emoji is All We Have.
