In El Paso, Risk Hazekamp uses images and attributes from a seemingly macho world, but manages to illuminate them in such a way that they make up a fascinating (humorist) world that transcends gender. A black skid mark on the grey floor leads to the rear wall, which holds a giant photograph of someone who walks toward you. You are forced, as it were, to check yourself and keep your distance, that is how strong the suggestion is of a fatal confrontation.
