This short experimental black-and-white film on Super 8 was made for the art project 'Het beeld barst in de tijd' on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Foundation Dziga (Film working Space and Art Foundation in Nijmegen). In this homage to Dziga Vertov people walk by like shadows, a series of close-ups shows streets, sidewalks and fences. Set to peaceful music, these images of the dynamic city outside world are alternated with shots of a woman who holds, spins and smashes a vulnerable egg.
