In every episode, the soft toy Dropje helps a human child in his typical, rib-tickling way. In Trommel, he comes to the aid of a young drummer. The latter thinks he can’t play the drum, but after Dropje has intervened, he dares to express himself and he even determines the rhythm of the whole brass band.
