When ladybug Cinelli’s wing-case gets stolen, she ends up in a depression that also gives her new insights. The spiteful cockroach Peri took it from her, but he finds out a ladybug’s life can be quite suffocating.
The perfectionist ladybug Cinelli always sets the bar incredibly high for herself. Everything has to be perfect and this means her slovenly neighbour Peri, a socially maladjusted cockroach, is not welcome at her party. Out of spite, Peri steals her red wing-case, but he soon finds out that a ladybug’s life is not what he expected. In this short animation by Vera van Wolferen, both Cinelli and Peri learn to put themselves in other people’s shoes. Selected earlier this year for the youth section of the Berlinale.
