It is 1972. Soledad is one of the three female taxi drivers in Buenos Aires. When she is harassed by one of her customers for the umpteenth time, she leaves town. She ends up with a broken down car in a disconsolate town in Patagonia. The only source of amusement is the local cinema where old, damaged and incomplete film copies are screened. This is the only contact with the outside world. So the locals have started to experience this chaos as reality. They talk, think and act like the people in the films. Edgar Wexley is the inhabitants' best known and most loved actor. He is invited to visit the small town.
