Frisian-spoken documentary about life in a rural Frisian village. From late 1992 to early 1994, Henk Penninga shot film in his place of residence Minnertsga, a small village in North-West Friesland. Using mood shots, dramatised scenes and interviews with villagers, the film provides an impression of a tightly-knit community where unity is highly regarded. Shots of recent events and old film and photo material link present and past and show how Minnertsga developed in the last fifty years into a modern borough. The documentary especially shows that it is well worthwhile living in a small village.
