A bead moves through time like an endless bead spiral – from childhood with its parents to later stages of life. A short animation for all ages.
We follow a red bead through different phases of life: with mom and dad, in the schoolyard, in marriage and in mourning. Eventually, homesickness takes over and a journey back through time begins. This graduation film says a great deal without using words. A simple and playful animation that holds a surprising dose of emotion. Though made for children, it’s equally suited for viewers of all ages.
This film is part of the NFF Studentencompetitie and nominated for the KNF Award 2025. The winner will be announced on Monday, September 29th, during the Talent Awards Ceremony at the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.
