Mexico City, once built on a marsh, is drying up, getting polluted and seizing up. Built to house eight million at most, the city is in danger of collapse under the burden of more than twenty million inhabitants. Diogenes, the VPRO TV foreign affairs programme, made a report on a metropolis that has reached the limits of growth. Hans Fels was editor in chief.
