Dichtgespijkerd

Director: Steef Meyknecht
Documentary follows developments around several inhabitants of a building due for demolition in the Indian district of Amsterdam. The building is to be replaced by new housing development. The film follows the last inhabitants from when the council informs them of the planned demolition. The people gradually realise that they have to move out. For instance, the alcoholic Hedde. For years, his house was an arena in which his son fell victim to his drink problem. Hedde sees the move as a fresh start without his son, but with the bottle. Grandpa Ko is angry. As far as he is concerned, they can set light to the lady from the housing department. And Agatha writes a letter to the prime minister, in vain. She'll never get another roof garden like this one.
