After a poem by P.C. Hooft. A computer animation combines text (`Mijn Lief'), footage of the lips, face and body of a woman, and colours and light patches in different transparent layers. A warm voice recites the poem, to romantic, compelling music. `Hemelsche Goôn, hoe comt de Schijn soo naer aen 't Wesen/Het leven droom, en droom het leven soo gelijck?'
