Film poem in which a man tries to re-establish contact with his subconscious, as a reaction to the metropolitan chaos. Will he get closer to himself and manage to let go?
Amidst a soundscape of traditional Japanese string instruments, Surinamese Winti prayers and a voice-over philosophising about the metaphysical, a man wanders across a space, illuminated by artificial moonlight. In this philosophical film poem, the protagonist silently, yet constantly moving, makes an explorative expedition to his subconscious self, as a reaction to metropolitan life. This debut film shows how he gradually turns inward, learns to listen to what wants to be heard and finds the path to the great release.
