Short, poetic film about getting familiar with death. Interdisciplinary wordsmiths Jörgen Gario, Sjaan Flikweert and Mirte Hartland interviewed loved ones about mortality.
For this short, poetic film, several interdisciplinary wordsmiths interviewed their loved ones about mortality. Teaming up with a percussionist, a photographer, a dancer and a video artist, they translated these conversations intospoken word, music, video and motion to break the silence around mortality. Visualelements of rituals surrounding death are placed outside the context of a funeral. Can this theme that terrifies so many people become more familiar by discussing it instead of avoiding it?
