Second episode from a documentary series of four. Ninety percent of Moroccans living in Holland come from the Rif, an area in the North of Morocco. The makers wondered why guest workers were recruited from here en masse and why they did not return to their home soil after a life of work in Holland. Their conclusions were recorded in a four-part documentary series. With a video-camera, the film-makers tried to come into contact with Dutch Moroccans, searching for the background and culture of these emigrants in their home country. However filming was not allowed all over Morocco.
