Protestfilm on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Dutch Directors Guild, filmed in the style of Sergei Eisenstein's Strike (1924) and Battleship Potemkin (1925). Compelling music accompanies the silent black-and-white images of vehemently speaking revolutionaries, in dramatic close-ups and oblique frames. Director Pieter Verhoeff excels as the leader; producer Matthijs van Heijningen thoroughly enjoys himself as the `cruel producer'. Still photography: Michel Porro Photography.
