Music-filled feature film, adapted from Herman van Veen's theatre show Jukebox 2008, follows a group of youngsters in a snack bar in a working-class district in Utrecht in the weekend of 4 and 5 August 1962. After a one-year absence, protagonist Evert pays a visit to his friends in the cafeteria. Dressed smartly and brandishing an expensive camera - he is a photographer now - he meets snack bar owner Greet, who is currently dating an American, the intellectual Adje, and Truus, who is willing to pose for Evert. The latter pretends he is prospering.
