In the art world, Jan Hoet, director of the Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst (S.M.A.K.) in Ghent is known for his idiosyncratic choices in compiling exhibitions. In this documentary Julien Vandevelde follows Hoet for two weeks prior to the opening of his museum. The film was shot using the principle of direct filming: a straightforward film without a script.
