Not a 'real' monster under the bed, but a self-conceived fantasy creature in a recreated bedroom. For three refugee children, their creation is a way to discuss both their nice and bad memories.
For various reasons, all three families of Roaa, Zainab and Noe Noe fled from different places to the Netherlands. In a recreated bedroom, the three girls draw and describe their self-invented fantasy monster Cappi Don Lii. What are the differences and what are the similarities between the real world and that of the imagined monster? Based on their creation, they talk about their nice and not so nice memories in this short documentary, and about growing up in a refugee centre and the power of their friendship and fantasy.
