Why would you preserve a deceased pet? While the taxidermist restores the animal’s soul, their owners share with us what drives them, in this short documentary.
Not everyone chooses to bury or cremate their quadruped when it passes. Get acquainted with some owners who prefer to have their beloved pets mounted. In the film, they give words to the role the deceased animal used to play in their lives; the happiness, the consolation, and now the lack. Meanwhile, we follow the taxidermy process, from measuring all the limbs, the skinning, cleaning, and tanning of the skin, to sculpting the body and putting back the coat of fur. A short documentary about the way we deal with death.
