The unconventional Petrus hopes his father will join him in filling the void left by his deceased mother. But as it turns out, their ways of professing their faith are very different.
The flamboyant Moluccan gospel choirmaster Petrus returns to his native village. In this short debut film, he and his conservative father Marius attend a church service that, according to tradition, takes place forty days after his mother’s decease. In a personal way, the son tries to seek connection with his father by bringing in a gospel choir. Does Petrus dare to break the patterns, or will he stick to his father’s traditions? Or can they accept each other for who they are?
