In times of housing shortage, finding a room in the new academic year is no picnic. Ninthe has high expectations of a hospiteeravond (when a new housemate is selected) at a hip student house in Amsterdam. In the shortest time possible, she has to show her best, nicest, most interesting side. Soon, the competition for these much-coveted 8 m2 deteriorates into a social minefield. How do you hit just the right, blithe tone people expect from you? This short debut film is a tragicomedy about insecurity, ‘wrong’ answers, courage and the clash between two worlds.
