Road movie shot in Riga and Holland about a man in search of another mother for his child. The Latvian Elvis (10) has fallen silent since the tragical death of his mother. He has been stuck in a decrepid children's hospital in Riga for two years with no prospects of recovery. The boy's father can no longer bear to see his son suffer and flees with him from the terrible conditions in his country. In the hope of a better future for Elvis he goes to wealthy Holland in search of the woman who was his pen friend in his youth. Award the Holland Film Award 1997.
