A young woman’s life is in a rut so she leaves it behind and disappears with her lover on a moped in this tragicomedy. On her flight, she is confronted with her fears and doubts. What is she actually running from?
De Mot is a tragicomic and absurdist film about a young woman (Frieda Barnhard) who decides to leave her life behind for good on her wedding day and flee to an undefined place with her lover (Jasper Stoop). Once on the run, she is confronted with her fears, past and doubts. The consequences of her decision begin to eat at her. She doesn't want to return home, but once she's gone there is no way back.
