Outsiders consider it odd, but eleven-year-old Janero himself does not see the problem at all: as a boy, he is the odd one out among the majorette girls, but he keeps time like nobody else.
In the dance documentary De majorette koning van het Noorden, the eleven-year-old boy Janero wants to become the best in baton twirling, a sport that only girls practice. To outsiders, it is a little odd to see a boy twirling a baton all day long, but Janero himself does not see the problem of being the only boy on the team. He wants to settle the prejudice once and for all that twirling is solely for girls.
