Successful horror movie about a murderous elevator that causes mysterious accidents. An elevator mechanic is called in to examine the elevator and is faced with an uncooperative supplier and a reporter who suspects a conspiracy. The film was shot within thirty days and with a small budget. Dick Maas' feature film debut was granted the 1983 Golden Calf for Best Direction. In 2001, Maas made Down, the English-spoken remake.
