How do you get everything out of life if you know you have only one chance left? To become successful, to bring a child into this world, to find the truth? A documentary series, unfolding like a novel.
This documentary series follows several people whose lives almost obsessively revolves around that last chance. To achieve their goals, they all have to clear hurdles in different ways, because there are enough obstacles on the road that can keep them from reaching the finishing line. This results in a mosaic that transcends the personal stories and makes the viewer think, but is at the same time a feast of recognition. Real life, told as a novel: about gusto, ambition and the harrowing yet sometimes comforting awareness that all things must come to an end. Based on an idea by Maarten Slagboom and Jurjen Blick.
