De komst van Joachim Stiller (The Arrival of Joachim Stiller) was included in the annals of national TV as a high-quality series (a serial of three 50-minute episodes). Director Harry Kümel also cut it into a cinema version. The plot is based on Hubert Lampo's magic-realistic novel set in Antwerp. The leading character and his girlfriend Simone are engrossed by the mysterious figure of Joachim Stiller.
