Based on historical facts, this resistance film deals with the German Jew refugee Otto Schneeweiss (Gerard Thoolen), who at the start of World War II owns the Amsterdam ice-cream parlour Koco. After some conflicts between youngsters and NSB members, Otto's business becomes the hotbed of resistance against the Germans. Schneeweiss' girlfriend (Renée Soutendijk) thinks her emotional friend is a coward and has an affair with a Nazi.
