Directing début by Hoffman is a documentary quest in interviews with friends and acquaintances and film fragments, for the filmmaker Adriaan Ditvoorst.
In his directing début, actor Thom Hoffman presents a kaleidoscopic portrait of his friend and colleague Ditvoorst, whom he considered a hero and a pioneer of the Dutch director's movie. In its documentary quest, the film shows the life and work of the director, on the basis of interviews with friends and acquaintances (mainly from the world of cinema), including cameraman Jan de Bont, producer Jan Vrijman and director Pim de la Parra, film excerpts and enacted scenes featuring 'researcher' Huub van der Lubbe.
