The lives of the unworldly Daantje and the embittered ex-ballerina Natasha get intertwined. A melancholy and ironic fairy-tale as only Jos Stelling can tell it, about farewell, loneliness and friendship.
The homeless Daantje meets the older ex-ballerina Natasha, who initially wants nothing to do with him. But fate and their social isolation seemingly condemns them to each other. When Natasha decides to return to the place of her childhood – her grandma’s dacha far from the civilised world – Daantje wants to join her. They jointly embark on the long physical and spiritual journey to the place of her youth, the place where she used to be happy. On the road, they lose all their belongings, and eventually also their way.
