On the canals of Groningen, seventy-something Rita has been organising Klaberjass competitions for years. Her door is open to everyone, provided you do not cancel it at the very last minute and you can lose like a winner.
This graduation documentary follows the retired Klaberjass player Rita (70). For ages, she has been organising cardplaying competitions on her houseboat Kareltje in downtown Groningen. Her ship carries a tragic past. At the same time it is a special, communal place that even has its fitting playlist. Everyone is welcome to join the game, but you have to be a good sport and accept it if you do not receive the best of cards.
