Silent one-act farce. Work-shy Flippie is fired. He starts looking for a new job and applies as a plumber. He is immediately sent off to a house with a gas leak. What is more, the people there are expecting a rich American cousin, a potential husband for the lady of the house. Along the way, Flip meets a group of unsavoury Bolsheviks, who take him for their leader. He eliminates the Bolsheviks, but the police keep an eye on him. The people in the house with the leakage mistake him for the expected guest and pour him some whisky. Inebriated, Flip causes the house to explode.
