Documentary shot during the first Covid wave, in which the IC support team of the UMC Amsterdam calls the relatives of seriously ill patients to give them a status update.
During the first Covid wave, the relatives of patients in the IC ward are called and informed on a daily basis by the IC support teamof the UMC Amsterdam: the so-called 'lifelines'. This documentary shows the equally distressing and hopeful stories from the uncertain early days of the pandemic.Sometimes, a short conversation in the hospital with a mother and daughter suddenly turns into a farewell to a husband and a father. In another case, things look bright again against all odds and a wife is allowed to visit her husband for the first time in many weeks.
