This TV film in two parts is a thriller in which Marcel Paroo, the charming, recently divorced alderman of a medium-sized city uses the young regional TV journalist Nikki to regain the guardianship of his children. After a short relationship, she quickly wants to get rid of him when she finds out that Paroo threatens his ex-wife and abuses his children. The alderman does not acquiesce to her rejection, and soon Nikki is also terrorised by him. Her situation gets increasingly dire and she calls in the help of the lawyer Elles, who is just trying to reveal the truth surrounding the sudden, tragic death of Paroo's ex-wife. Elles cannot escape Paroo's manipulative stalking threats, either.
