Documentary in which Marijke Jongbloed films four former dancers who started a new career after their dancing spell. The film is a sequel to Stap voor Stap (1980) and De volgende stap (1992). This third part is intended as an ode to self-willed dancers who go their own way after their demanding career. Bar one, the dancers from Stap voor Stap are in a transitional phase, a time of reflection.
