The floors of a house in Amsterdam are occupied by different types of inhabitants. Their daily lives are humorously portrayed on the basis of their water use in this swiftly edited, rhythmical film. Eventually, all lives flow together, through the water pipes, in the maintenance mechanic's tent in front of the door. Unaware of his power, he takes rash decisions that have great consequences for everybody.
