This telefilm, a tragicomic comedy of manners by the director of Alles is liefde (Love is All), deals with the interaction between the white upper class and poorly educated Moroccan immigrants, borrowing elements from Pygmalion and Romeo and Juliet. Against her husband's will, a well-to-do housewife (Anneke Blok) acts as a 'coach' for a young Moroccan boy with school problems. The couple's Amsterdam, characterised by bright spaces and expensive garden furniture, contrasts acutely with cluttered neighbourhoods full of immigrants in cramped houses.
