Call me Agnes

Director: Daniel Donato
Trans woman Agnes has found her feet in the Netherlands. When her younger brother from Indonesia visits her, this turns her life upside down. Can she keep lying about who she is?
The Indonesian trans woman Agnes plays a version of herself in this curious docufiction, based on her life. Agnes' agreeable life of playing badminton with friends and working in her best friend Rini’s Indonesian restaurant is compromised when suddenly her younger brother Indra is on her doorstep. He has travelled from Timor to the Netherlands, looking for his elder brother Hans. The truth could offer Agnes a chance to be reconciled with her younger brother, but this turns out to be harder than she thought.
