In a future where telepathy connects people, expecting parents Rixt and Finn have a communication problem. The perfectionist Rixt wants to genetically modify their unborn child. Finn is against it.
Is everything engineerable? It does seem like it in the futuristic world of the short science-fiction film By Design, where people communicate telepathically and expecting parents can still genetically modify their child inside the womb. The pregnant Rixt wants the best for her unborn son and tries to convince her husband Finn to enter a modification procedure. But he wants to leave things to nature. Will Rixt decide to take risks?
