In 1986, Will Wissink graduated with his film BURP!, a sort story full of black humour in which a prostitute is stranded at a bus stop and a man drives his car into the adjacent telephone booth. Next, both people are threatened, but not by the same danger. This Dutch film was intended as a light-hearted joke, but to everyone's surprise BURP! won awards at several international film festivals.
