Film version of the novel by Jan Wolkers about a novice painter who falls in love with his (married) model Anna (Monique van de Ven). She also feels attracted to him, but can only succumb to the feelings years later. Feature début by the unknown Peter Jan Rens, who later made a career as TV host.
