Can you separate art from the artist? In the case of the brazen ventriloquist’s dummy Billy and his modest owner Gerard this is impossible, which leads to many an undesirable situation.
Ventriloquist Gerard Along and his impudent dummy Billy make up a popular performing duo. But behind the scenes the unusual twosome do not hit it off so well. Billy outstrips his owner not only on stage; outside the theatre he is in charge as well. This does not really help things when it comes to finding love. Gerard fancies his charming neighbour, while Billy is turned on by football player Belinda. Time for Gerard to regain control of his life, which is not so easy when having your hands full of a monstrous dummy.
