A succession of associative images varies, like bebop jazz, on the theme of adolescents and male sexuality, anger and violence, through a young girl and the scary people around her.

Bebop is a rather unfathomable jazz style, in which complex rhythms and harmonies vary on a theme. After a solo, this theme may change. This is also the way Bebop is composed. Sidelines and a flashback are the solos that cause shifts in the mysterious theme.
The protagonist of Bebop is an anonymous girl that goes from the hectic city life to the country. In associative images, often shot up close or with a fish-eye lens, the camera follows her in various surroundings. Woods with dense shrubs, but also city quarters with remarkable architecture. In a schoolyard, we hear her voice for the first time when she voices her opinion about her peers: losers and twats. It is up to the audience to decide what the cause and effect of her behaviour is. Why does she draw little hearts on her leg? Why does she steal not only Dutch gin, but also a cuddle from a farmer? And what exactly happened at the party that we see in flashback?
