In his deceased father’s footsteps, Selim Haase travels to the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, where he talks with people who knew his father, to find answers to questions he can no longer ask him.
Selim Haase’s father was a philosophical Frenchman who loved to travel. During one of his peregrinations across the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, he met Haase’s mother in the small mountain village Aït Ishaq. Why did his father leave France to settle in the Atlas? In this intimate and contemplative debut documentary, Haase travels to the village to speak with people who used to know his prematurely deceased dad. This way, he hopes to find answers to questions he could never ask him.
