Amsterdamse havens (Amsterdam Harbours) is one of the oldest surviving industrial films in Holland. This film provides an extensive impression for the various activities in and around Amsterdam's IJhaven, such as the bustle around Central Station, the coming and goings of inland barges and ocean-going ships and the loading and unloading of their cargo. The film was made by the documentary department of the Hollandia Filmfabriek for the City of Amsterdam.
