Nine-part documentary series about the Dutch film history from 1945 on. It follows the successes and disappointments of filmmakers and other people from the trade, the public interest and the pressk, richly illustrated with film excerpts.
Following the Allemaal theater series, made on Joop van den Ende's initiative, the Allemaal film series has now been released. Nine documentaries provide a survey of the Dutch film history, from 1945 until today, as the subtitle indicates. The series offers a trip down memory lane or a wonderful introduction to the national heritage. The series follows the successes and disappointments of filmmakers and other people from the trade, the public interest and the press. Ample attention goes out to legendary moments and fascinating archive footage, richly illustrated with film excerpts. Just as in Allemaal theater, the host is Jeroen Krabbé, flying around the world to interview film people who have settled somewhere else.
