Documentary about the life of artist Aad Donker, who reaped fame in New York with his two brothers. After separating from his partner, he suffered from delusions and eventually committed suicide.
Documentary about the Dutch painter Aad Donker. With his brothers Gijs and Justus, he acquires fame in the early 1990s in New York as members of the After Nature collective. His brothers return to the Netherlands, but Aad stays in New York with his beloved Amy. When the two separate, he loses grip on reality. He is afflicted by anxieties and delusions and eventually takes his life. In the film, archive footage alternates with interviews with the brothers, Amy and After Nature founder Peter Klashorst.
