The Swift Boys in extra time! An unexpected marriage in Spain asks for a spontaneous reunion. In this road movie with a laugh and a tear, they contend with German nudists, French police, and especially their mid-life crisis.
The original already fuelled a TV series and several foreign remakes, and now, after almost fifteen years, it has a true sequel. The unexpected marriage in Barcelona of one of their former soccer buddies leads to a spontaneous reunion of the Swift Boys. Of course, all plans come badly unstuck, starting at Schiphol airport. They are forced to take the van of Harry’s Garden Centre to arrive at the wedding ceremony in time. En route, they are hindered by the Belgian road system, German nudists and a steadfast French policeman. Madcap intricacies, with the occasional serious undercurrent when each of the boys is struggling with the second half of their lives. The ode to the mourned All Star Antonie Kamerling also touches a string.
